Yesterday I bought a 24"x30" canvas. I'll paint three butterflies, side by side, mixing up spatial orientation. Don't the colors seem unreal? Here are my picks from Marley's book:
Marley's background was always white. I am thinking a warm background of yellow/burnt copper. What is you favorite butterfly and which one would you omit?

ReplyDeleteThe video was upsetting to me. Although I think it's interesting what this man has been through-I really don't like the idea of people and technology merging like this. I can't write about it intelligently I guess-but I have a bad feeling about it.

ReplyDeleteButterflies are such beautiful creatures. I'm amazed at how many varieties there are when I see them at CA Academy or Six Flags. I love how they're blessed with color.

My favourite is number 1, number 2 and number 3....I would omit number 4. I was cheating with the numbers but its too hard to choose from the first 3!

Wow! What beauty! I like them all, but I guess my faves are the one that seems to be a luna moth (#3) and the big blue morpho-looking one at the bottom.

ReplyDeleteI think I like the last one best - the other blue one looks unreal and actually enamelled! And the yellow one is just plain bizarre!
