Love Me Some Linen

The following is an unsolicited advertisement for an online store that sells quality linen.  No bribes or money has been transferred to garner the following endorsement for this store.

Linen, medium weight, color: cardinal.
All Purpose Linen, IL019
and here are just a few more of their colors from this site:

This is the finished garment.  It has good drape and can be worn either as a blouse or as a jacket over a tank top or tee.
Loving it so much I ordered more fabric in this color to make the same Jac Shirt:

Pattern: Jac Shirt from Tsutti in Melbourne, AU

  1. VERY cool! I'm bookmarking this post. I love linen, too! I can think of all kinds of garments to sew on my aging sewing machine! Thank you, Nancy!

  4. I absolutely love that shirt/jacket. Fun color.

Oh Gosh! I order from there. They have the best linen. The prices are fantastic too. I've made pinafore/apron's for my family and they love them. My niece is having her first baby and we were going through a bunch of her old baby clothes. I came across a baby pinafore w/ruffle pants I'd made her 30-years ago. I decided to make a few pinafore/aprons for family members as gifts. As I LOVE to and often do wear linen it was a natural progression to make them from linen. ha. Just by luck I ran across this shop by googling online linen. Have made over 20-so far. This fabric launders up great!

Made a couple pairs of capri's and pants also. Would love to try my hand at a set of sheets as the linen is so soft I think it would make great bedding.

  6. I am amazing by people who can sew beautiful garments. I can sew, but no one would wear anything off my needles. And shirts are SO hard. I have yet to knit a sweater that fits, so my hat is off to you and your gorgeous shirt.

  7. Hi Nancy, I just love linen. It wrinkles so badly, but I still love to wear it. Your shirt, jack turned out nice, and I concur with the new color you have chosen for your next one. Have a great week, hugs!
