So rather than waste the prior effort in knitting a rather striking sock designed by Cookie A. and found here on Knitty, it was turned into another accessory.
This is Cookie A. (above site) showing off her cute socks she designed.
After two rows of the lace repeat design, I bound off the sock start and added an I cord with a third color sock yarn to produce none other than an iTouch holder.
more about Cookie
Cookie is a knitting addict living in Northern California. She is particularly prone to sock yarn impulse purchasing and knitting, has a darling cat named after a mathematician, and is in search of the most whack haircut ever.
I keep looking at my knitting in progress that has come to an awful halt-maybe more than one project in that condition....and then to see your lovely stuff-well, I am inspired-so I will try to knit at least an hour today!
ReplyDeleteGosh you do go for some complicated looking patterns! I have just got a beginners knitting project book but it's early days yet.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to save it. I love the Monkey sock pattern as I had made a pair.
ReplyDeleteSorry your hand's hurt. Ouchie! Take it easy and slow down.
Neat. Love the humorous desc
ReplyDeleteOops! Hit publish by accident! Should read "love the humorous description of Cookie"
DeleteAlso hoping your hand is better! Guess I need to get my comment act together.
DeleteSorry about your injury:(. Love the sockpurse. Hugs
ReplyDeleteCute! Cookie is funny! I like her style!
ReplyDeleteI wish I was addicted to knitting socks!
That is really clever! I truly do not enjoy knitting socks - I loath dpns, magic loop's not so bad, but then you have to knit a second one! - but one of these I'd have the patience for.
ReplyDeleteHope the hand is better x
I love this! might have to copy you the next time I start a sock and have second sock syndrome early in the process. :)
