Sassy Water

Have you tried SASSY water?  It is the next best thing since... fill in the blank...  And it supposedly gets rid of belly fat.  Ya think?

This is what you need:

8. 5 cups water
1 tsp. grated ginger
1 cucumber (sliced)
1 lemon (sliced)
spearmint leaves, a dozen or so (I leave them whole)

Combine everything and chill in the refrigerator overnight. Drink!

That is the official recipe, but since cukes and lemons are not cheap, I used half the amount called for and it tasted just fine.  Then the next day, I could make up another batch of sassy water.

The taste?  It was refreshing.  But I doubt it gets rid of belly fat...unless you quit eating.

  1. Sounds nice and refreshing, might have to give it a try. I would hazard a guess it is meant to help because you drink it instead of snacking. I think ginger is supposed to suppress appetite

  2. It sounds lovely, but I doubt it will really get rid of any fat. Still, lemon is cleansing, and ginger and spearmint are natural digestive aid, so I guess it can't hurt!

  3. It does sound refreshing. Thanks for the recipe. The only way I can get rid of belly fat is putting down the fork. Not always easy.

  5. It certainly looks good, and sounds refreshing. Has some good stuff in it. Yu never know-the cuccumber and lime might work together to flatten a tummy some!
